Education & Teaching

Lisa earned her M.F.A from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983, where she studied with landscape painter Neil Welliver; her B.F.A. is from the Tyler School of Art at Temple University.

She has been teaching college-level painting, drawing, and design classes, as well as leading art classes for children and seniors.

Lisa is an Adjunct Professor at Delaware County Community College and was an Assistant Professor of Fine Art at Cabrini College.

At the Philadelphia Museum of Art she was the After-School Programs coordinator and a museum teacher for the museum’s Education Division. Working with the museum’s Urban Outreach program she created a partnership between their Anti-Graffiti Network and graduate art students from both Tyler and the University of Pennsylvania to create several murals in North and West Philadelphia. This initiative evolved into Philadelphia’s Mural Arts Program.
